Storage Units: No longer the bastard step-child
Friday, July 29, 2011 I think storage units (shelving too) often get left behind in the design process. The flashier pieces like the attention-whore sofa or big-name designer chair can easily steal the spotlight. But it doesn't have to be this way! On the flipside, just because the storage unit or shelving is b-o-r-i-n-g doesn't mean it won't completely dominate the space simply through sheer size and volume. So why not make it part of the whole moment you're creating rather than just an afterthought?
Here-- some super creative ways to approach the issue. I'm not saying you have to go as far as the primary-colored deal, although those guys sure do get points for just going for it. :)
