Office Moodboard
Thursday, May 31, 2012
I'm currently freshening up the decor of my husband's downtown office. He's been in the space for about a year and was recently promoted to Creative Director (whoohoo!!) so it's only fitting that his work space reflects his aesthetic and his title, yes? He's earned it. Lordy, lordy the man works hard! So. I put together this moodboard to help guide the process. We've already purchased and installed a few items: the Ikea Kulla Lamp you see here as well as a black + white cowhide rug. We hung an art wall collage of a few oversized prints and have ordered one of Debbie Carlos' stunning mountain posters to sit above his desk. We also went shopping for accessories and cool knick-knacks right in our own apartment. (It helps that Jim and I both have been collecting art and oddities for years. We've got a stockpile of stuff.) Next on the list is to square away the seating situation. We're pretty set on two of these bludot chairs in black with contrasting white seat cushions...but that could change. So far, the project has been super quick and fun because Jim knows what he likes and let's me do whatever I want. A bonus of being married to your client. ;) I'll take photos of the final product and let you know how it goes!
